Nördlingen

Just a few kilometres from Oettingen lies Nördlingen, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Germany. The fully walkable city wall offers a fantastic panoramic view over the old town. Particularly impressive is the bell tower "Daniel" of St. George's Church, from which one can overlook the entire Ries and from which the call of the watchman still sounds every evening. Distance: 16km
